The closing event of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Technical Assistance Project (YEVDES) for Municipalities and Universities, carried out by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, was held on March 31, 2022 at The Hilton Hotel with the participation of officials from various universities and municipalities.

With the project, which serves the EU’s green transformation goal and is implemented with a fund of 4.5 M €, it is aimed to support the preliminary studies for investments in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy in our country. In the first session held at the closing event, how universities and municipalities can make their buildings energy efficient was explained.

The Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings Project – KABEV, which is carried out by the Department of Outsourced Investments of the General Directorate of Construction Affairs of our Ministry, was introduced, energy efficiency measures that can be realized in our public buildings were explained and information was given about the public buildings where energy improvements were made. In addition, the application requirements for the buildings of the universities that meet the project eligibility criteria were conveyed. The presentation ended with the answers to the questions about the project, which attracted great interest from the authorities of the institution.
